Coparck, founded in 1999, debuted in 2001 with 'Birds, Happiness & Still Not Worried, which was a collection of earlier demos and some new songs. These refined, intimate lo-fi pop songs (with some jazz mixed into it for good measure) were very well received. Especially single 'Into Routine' did very well, not in the least because of its remarkable video clip. After some success in the Netherlands, releases in the rest of Europe and Japan followed.
3VOOR12 counted follow-up album 'Few Chances Come Once In A Lifetime' among the twelve best of 2005. On it, Coparck tried to mix up their sound a little with samples and electronic influences. They gained nationwide fame when single 'The World of Tomorrow' was used in a cheese commercial. The band from Amsterdam then went on a tour through our country that brought them to sixty different venues.

'The 3rd Album' was released in January 2007. For the first time, they collaborated with a producer, in this case Reyn Ouwehand (who worked with Kane, Sita and El Pino & The Volunteers in the past). Most remarkable about the release was a magazine that had been created by singer / graphical designer Odilo. The magazine was basically a collection of (made up) stories about the band, photos made by Dutch photographers and song lyrics. The song 'A Good Year For The Robots' made it to first place in the Kink 40. On the fourth Coparck record, 'A Dog and Pony Show', they got some help from Rotterdam-based jazz eminence Eric Vloeimans. Musically, the (current) five-piece band has turned into true songsmiths, crafting beautiful indie pop songs with a very recognizable sound.
