The Special Social Club organizes accessible parties for people with an (intellectual) disability. Events where inclusion, fun, and connection are at the heart. After many successful editions in cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, and Leiden, they also host parties in Nijmegen!

On Saturday, September 20, the second edition will take place at Doornroosje and you’re warmly invited! This party is for everyone. Whether you want to dance, chat, or simply enjoy the evening in your own way, everything is possible and nothing is required! Our DJs from the community will spin the best hits of today, and of course, our MC will be there again to make sure the atmosphere is amazing.

What makes this party accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible
There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet
A low-stimulation space is available for relaxing or chatting
Plenty of volunteers are present for assistance and questions (non-medical support)
Through our buddy system, you can be paired with someone who will pick you up from Nijmegen station or spend the evening with you, dancing and having a good time together
