Boomshakalak is back at Merleyn with none other than their very own concept, Homebase. For years, they were known as the longest-running reggae club night in Nijmegen. A place with an open character where everyone feels welcome, and where the crowd is just as diverse as the music. Now, the concept is getting a fresh boost: with new tunes, familiar faces, and that unmistakable family vibe. They invite you on a musical journey that reflects the transition from summer to autumn, from sunny reggae and cheerful dancehall to deep, raw dub and bass.
Artist and Boomshakalak DJ Jeroen Bevers used Jamaica’s Folly Lighthouse in the artwork as a symbol of this safe harbor. The image represents coming together and coming home – exactly what you’ll experience with the tastiest and most danceable Jamaican-rooted music, delivered as only Boomshakalak Soundsystem can. Expect an intimate venue, transformed with smoke, army nets, and a lighthouse projection shining through the night. Feel welcome to discover, or to reconnect with familiar faces and smiles on the dancefloor. Tickets are only available at the door, so arrive early!
