FRIDAY
FRIDAY was founded by two friends (Koen & Quinten) who decided to make music together. Their music was then picked up by large labels, which resulted in two Top Songs on NPO Radio 2, millions of streams, and numerous shows in sold-out venues. Behind all of these successes, the duo realized that they lost a bit of freedom along the way.
With their third, upcoming album, they are going back to the basics and the essence. The music is darker, rawer and more honest. While their earlier work dealt with a theme like escape, this album dives into the question what exactly we’re escaping from: the rat race, the silence between friends, dreams that linger.
FRIDAY sounds more urgent and intense than ever. This is music that not only offers an escape, but also a mirror for anyone that is stuck between freedom and doubt.
