Dutch composer and pianist Joep Beving is returning to concert venues in 2026 with a brand-new album for a series of performances structured by the musical ideas he developed in the past few years.
It has been over ten years ago that Joep Beving released his debut album “Solipsism”, sharing his meditative and introspective approach to solo piano through it. In an overcrowded music scene, he managed to carve out a unique and recognizable sound that’s somewhere in between classical, pop and avant-garde – all with huge appeal.
Joep Beving’s new music – which can be heard on his upcoming record – moves with a sense of openness and curiosity. It strikes a balance between structure and intuition, often led by both a human touch and something more organic. The pieces invite listeners to moments of quiet, motion, and contemplation, giving an opportunity for clarity and ambiguity to exist in the same space.
Tonight’s concert offers a rare chance to experience the music of Joep Beving live in an intimate setting, in De Vereeniging.
