Jack and the Weatherman have a very clear mission: to share uplifting music with the world. Their sound is a warm mix of pop, folk and reggae. They combine meaningful lyrics with positive and hopeful vibes, celebrating both the light and the shadow side of life.
Jack and the Weatherman is an international folk pop band from The Netherlands built around long-time friends Berry Krikken (Jack) and Sebastiaan Weerman (The Weatherman). They started off as a duo and managed to carve out a special place in the international folk pop landscape for themselves. They have turned into a five-piece live band since then.
For the Dutch band, the entirety of Europe feels like their home turf nowadays. Their ambitions reach even further, though. They have played major festivals and went out into the world, playing a tour in South Africa for example. Their songs have been streamed over 100 million times worldwide, with hundreds of thousands of people listening to their music each and every day. For these stats, they received a platinum award for the song ‘Till the Sun Comes Up’.
Jack and the Weatherman are often compared with artists like Sons of the East, Jeremy Loops, The Lumineers, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Mighty Oaks and Hollow Coves.
