The breakthrough came with “Relentless Mutation” from 2017, which had Archspire demonstrate that extreme speed and real hooks can go hand in hand. Tracks like ‘Involuntary Doppelgänger’ and ‘Holocaust of Self’ quickly turned into fan favourites, not just because of the immensely high BPM’s, but also because of the refined song writing and surprising dynamics. Successor “Bleed the Future” from 2021 pushed this even further: even more complex with even tighter orchestration, all without becoming cloying. Song ‘Drone Corpse Aviator’ has been a live staple ever since. The title of their latest album says it all: “Too Fast do Die” has even more precision bombs that are fired at you at a maddening pace, but all with the same high level of quality for which the band is known. Live on stage, Archspire translates this to unforgettable performances, pummelling the audience into submission.
