Acid Dad
Acid Dad has been around since 2014. Since 2016, they have been active as a touring band in the American psych rock scene. After doing tons of live performances and striking out on tours in their own country, the band is now coming to Europe for the first time. They will play a show in Merleyn as well.
Their DIY mentality is so strong that they build their own guitars and record and produce their own videos. Their love for bands like Sonic Youth (especially “Daydream Nation”) and The Jesus & Mary Chain can be heard in their music. Bands like King Gizzard, Osees and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets will also approve of this New York band. In fact, they’ve even invited Acid Dad along as a special guest on their tours.
In 2018 they released their first international debut album on the independent label Greenway Records, a label that also has Frankie and the Witch Fingers and The Muckers on their roster. They also released a Levitation Festival session through the festival’s label; you can see the result of that below. Acid Dad consists of Vaughn Hunt (vocals, guitar), Sean Fahey (vocals, guitar) and Trevor Mustoe (drums).
