Against the Current return to Doornroosje at their own request, this time for a show in the purple hall. They are accompanied by their friends from Dead Pony.
The American band Against the Current has been making waves since 2011. In the early days, the band found an audience through YouTube, which is where they shared covers on their channel from popular artists like Owl City and Kelly Clarkson. By now, the trio has gone way past the concept of “YouTube phenomenon” and have found a sound of their own in the world of pop, rock and indie. After previously being signed with Fueled by Tamen (once label of a band like Paramore), the band turned over a new leaf. In 2023, they released their new EP without the help of a label. Expect many feel-good songs with pop punk elements.
