Following her performance at Code Oranje and a subsequent DJ set at the Merleyn afterparty, Alice Olsthoorn returns to Nijmegen for her first headlining club tour. Expect a heavy dose of futuristic electronica and distorted vocals, delivered with attitude, humour, and a message.
She is a true whirlwind on-stage who isn’t afraid to push boundaries. Her debut EP, “Een heel ordinair meisje” (released in March), was expanded into the “Een vreselijk ordinair meisje” EP in June with the addition of two new singles. Another new EP is set for release this autumn.
After a blistering performance at Noorderslag, Alice has delivered high-octane shows at festivals such as Down The Rabbit Hole, Wildeburg, and Best Kept Secret. Her roots lie in the queer rave scene in Amsterdam, where she deepened her love for and knowledge of electronic music—building on a teenage obsession with the PC Music label, which pioneered the “Hyperpop” genre. Now that she is finally proving she can energize any crowd, she stands on the threshold of a brilliant career.
