From their debut “Fragments of Form and Function” to their recent “The Ossuary Lens”, the American band has undergone a consistent evolution. They started off originally with a fierce thrash sound reminiscent of At the Gates and Atheist then evolved to progressive depth with sci-fi themes dealing with singularity, AI and the universe. The balance between raging blast beats, harmonic leads and polyrhythmic grooves is still intact. Front man Riley McShane easily switches from grunts to clean vocals, while the rhythm section puts up a wall that’s tight as a drum.
