Australian metalcore band Alpha Wolf is heading for Doornroosje! And they are accompanied by three killer bands: King 810, ten56. and Xile.
Tonight’s main attraction is a heavy dose of metalcore that’s going to crush everything and everyone its path. After support stints with Polaris and August Burns Red, the Australian five-piece band is now heading out as a headliner. Their latest album “A Quiet Place to Die” is full of explosive cuts that mix metalcore, djent and nu-metal, further enhanced by a layer of electronic effects. Their overall sound is aggressive and fierce, just the way we like it. Add to this a vocalist with an impressive belting voice and you’ve got a good thing going here.
There are bands that have caused controversy in the metal scene. Ever since the release of their debut “Memoirs of a Murderer”, the band King 810 has definitely fallen into that category. The American band hails from Flint, Michigan, one of the poorest and most violent cities in the US. Their roots are very much present as themes in heir music. The metalcore is drenched in emotional raps and heavy breakdowns. Their live performances are exciting as well.
French band ten56. is basically a super group with members of Betraying The Martyrs, Novelist FR and Uneven Structures. The act plays an ultra-heavy sludgy type of metalcore, further enhanced by a large dose of deathcore. Perfect as an in-between course.
To stick with the food metaphors, the appetizer consists of heavy hardcore beatdowns from the New Zealand based Xile. The songs are hard as nails and brought with passion.
