Canadian guitarist and singer-songwriter Ariel Posen’s sound is hard to describe. His rootsy sound has elements from blues, R&B, melodious rock ‘n roll and blue-eyed soul. After a career as member of roots rock band The Bros. Landreth, he is now striking out as a solo artist.
With his well-received solo debut “How Long” (2019), he made a name for himself in the roots scene. Successor “Headway” was a much more personal affair, dealing with themes of evolution, growth and himself. Posen is extremely productive and released two instrumental, more experimental albums called “Mile End” and “Mile End II” in a relatively short time. On 8 September, his latest album “Reasons Why” came out. American magazine Rolling Stone even called him a “modern-day guitar hero”.
