You may recognize Geoff Barrow from the legendary band Portishead. His other band, BEAK>, is equally interesting, but completely different.
Together with Billy Fuller – who also plays with Robert Plant – and Will Young, Barrow is moving back and worth between genres as varied as obscure krautrock, dub, post rock, psychedelia and sonic experimentation. The sound of BEAK> is too varied to describe all that easily.
In 2022, BEAK> made quite an impression at Valkhof Festival. The band is prolific and made the soundtrack to graphic novel Kosmik Musik. Every new release of the band is a true masterpiece. There’s a new album on the way as well. They are coming back to Nijmegen, this time in Doornroosje.
