performing 'If You're Feeling Sinister' followed by a second set of favourites
Belle and Sebastian are coming to Doornroosje to play the album “If You’re Feeling Sinister”, complemented by a second set featuring all your favorite Belle and Sebastian songs. The album was released in 1996 and quickly grew into a cult classic, acclaimed for its poetic sharpness, melodic power, and enduring influence.
The album “Tigermilk” was released earlier in 1996, followed shortly thereafter by “If You’re Feeling Sinister”. These albums are considered by music critics to be the band’s core albums.
Belle and Sebastian, originally founded in 1996 by Stuart Murdoch and Stuart David in Glasgow, is a seven-piece band. Their melancholic yet cheerful repertoire is regarded as distinctive and influential for both the British and global music scene. The music consists of a mix of indie folk and pop with influences from the 60s and 80s.
In addition to the complete “If You’re Feeling Sinister” repertoire, the band will also play a second set featuring beloved songs from their full repertoire.
