Black Marble is the musical outlet of Christ Stewart. Black Marble debuted in 2012 with the album “A Different Arrangement”, which featured alienating post-punk.
The sound has been inspired by eighties cold wave and early DIY synth recordings. Throughout the years, the band’s style evolved, allowing for more brightness in their overall sound. This resulted in fresher sounding drums, catchy bass-lines and melodies that are reminiscent of the peak days of synth-pop. Their album “Fast Idol” came out in 2021, which was the successor to 2018’s “Bigger Than Life”.
