Blanks, artist name of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and singer Simon de Wit, became an international celebrity via YouTube with his unique covers and original approach to music. His songs are up-beat, catchy and cheerful and have a nostalgic feel through his guitar riffs and retro synths.
In 2021, Blanks released his successful debut album “Nothing Lasts Forever and That’s OK”. Recently, he conquered even more hearts with his performances in Beste Zangers, as well as with unforgettable live shows throughout the country and far beyond. In the fall of 2024, he went out on tour with his band through the US, Canada and Europe. In 2026, Blanks is coming back to Dutch venues with his brand-new album!
On stage, Blanks truly shines: guitar-driven pop, lots of interaction and a spontaneous feel-good atmosphere through the fun he has on stage with his band. Connection is also an important theme of his shows: Blanks built up his community on his own from Day One and wants to show that you can chase your dreams and make them come true as well. The new show is more mature and a bit more experimental, although it never loses the warm, optimistic vibe Blanks is known for. Expect new songs, stories from his time spent in the US and an artist that will once again demonstrate why he is still excited (and more than ever!) about music.
