Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy is the alter ego of Will Oldham. Since the early nineties he has been working on a very impressive body of work, all on his own terms. Will Oldham previously made music under names like Palace Brothers, Palace Music and Palace Songs.
Deep, ironic, funny, bilious, yet always with his heart on his sleeve: Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy manages to move his listeners the most with just his voice and guitar.
Tonight, at his own request, he kicks off his short European tour in Doornroosje, bringing him back for the first town he ever played in the Netherlands under the Palace Brothers name.
Zealandish songsmith Broeder Dieleman will support him in Doornroosje, Tonnie, also known as Broeder, played with Oldham before on a tour of small, tiny churches in the Netherlands that included the Church of Persingen.
