The Nashville, Tennessee songwriter and musician Briston Maroney started off playing live shows around 2016 in the local folk, bluegrass and punk scene.
He developed his own style through playing shows, which resulted in his first EP “Big Shot” (2017). His career really kicked off when his song ‘Freaking out on the Interstate’ went viral on TikTok and YouTube. This resulted on numerous (sold) out shows in the United States, but also in the rest of the world. In 2022, Maroney’s debut album “Sunflower” came out, which is an optimistic album full of indie rock inspired by nineties bands like Weezer and Blind Melon.
The support act tonight is the British indie musician Abbie Ozard.
