Caitlin Rose hails from Nashville, Tennessee, the heart of country music. She was born and raised on music as she’s the daughter of Liz Rose, a songwriter that won a Grammy for her work with artists like Taylor Swift.
As with her mother, Caitlin uses country music as her core sound. She is blessed with a terrific voice that’s crystal-clear, yet can tug on heart-strings if required. After two excellent albums full of gorgeous “outlaw country” in the best tradition of Lucinda Williams, Rose releases her album “CAZIMI” after a nine-year break. It’s an album that’s a showcase of Rose’s professionalism and skill-set. Caitlin distances herself a bit more from traditional country and includes styles like folk and pop as well.
During her nine-year sabbatical, she mostly wrote songs for other musicians. The new album is a big step forward, moving towards the sound of artists like Courtney Marie Andrews, Erin Rae and Carson McHone.
