Chalk
Belfast band Chalk was influenced by their love for film and the upcoming dance scene in their home town. Their visual approach is suggestively interwoven with their sound: electronic, post punk and psychedelic rock. They are somewhere in between IDLES, Daniel Avery, Death Grips and Bicep.
Chalk’s visually drive sound scapes consist of screeching guitars, a ruthless rhythm section and a raw, deep-rooted spoken word style. The trio have released a serious of EP’s before (“Conditions I” and “Conditions II”). In February 2025, “Conditions III” is expected to come out. With this fresh EP in tow, they are heading to Nijmegen. This show is highly recommended to fans of Sprints, Gurriers, Deadletter, Enola Gay, Tramhaus, The Psychotic Monks and DITZ.
