Delta Sleep
Delta Sleep is a British math rock band that manages to set itself apart through their complex rhythms, melodious, engaging guitar riffs and emotional, yet cool vocals. The Brits set out to write light-hearted, original and progressive songs. They succeeded in doing so, spectacularly so.
On their latest album “Blue Garden”, their guitar-driven sound has been developed even more. The jazzy percussion is ever-present and the bass parts are tight as ever. The somewhat neutral vocals lead to songs pleasant to the ear. At times, the band accelerates, taking their songs to a new dimension and adding some heft to the tracks. They know how to translate their heavy themes in an impressive, yet natural way through an intriguing landscape of math rock, emo and indie. They sometimes remind us of bands like Karate and Don Caballero. Fans of bands like Three Trapped Tigers, Tera Melos, MONO and CHON have something to look forward to as well.
