London-based Elephant Tree has been active for over a decade. They have made a name for themselves with their unique approach to psychedelic rock, stoner rock and doom metal.
The sound of Elephant Tree is characterized by heavy, fuzzy guitar parts and a folky identity, combined with atmospheric, dreamy vocals. The band create a tight balance between powerful, groovy, ethereal riffs and melancholy, melodious passages; it’s a sound sometimes referred to as “doomgaze”. Their albums, like the self-titled debut and “Habits”, include both heavy tracks and more subtle, acoustic ones with a mystical edge. Live on stage, they often supplement their sound with instruments like violin, which offers their performances another dimension.
