Ensiferum

Ensiferum is an absolute heavy-weight within the international folk and Viking metal scene. They hail from Helsinki and have been making the rounds with their own unique, heroic mix of melodic death metal, powerful guitar work and epic, cinematic folk influences. Their Latin band name means “carrier of the word”, a reference to the themes they have embraced: heroic battle, mythic heroes and Nordic legends are brought together in grand and engaging compositions.
