The English Fin Greenall, now known as Fink, once started off his career as a dance producer. One day, he decided to make music of his own and managed to do this successfully. By now, the Brit conquered the world as a singer-songwriter.
Before he kicked off his singer-songwriter career, Fink made trip hop and techno under various aliases through the renowned label Ninja Tune. He also produced songs for the still-unknown Amy Winehouse. In the first decade of this century, he reinvented himself and started a band with Tim Thornton (drums) and Guy Whittaker (bass). The album “Biscuits for Breakfast” was the result of this and shortly thereafter he released his breakthrough album “Perfect Darkness”. This was a logical progression, as Fink has the skills to write beautiful tracks, on top of having a mesmerizing, dark voice and an expert guitar-playing style.
His latest album, “IIUII”, is a carefully composed record drenched in nostalgia and an unprecedented eye for detail. Next to songs with a true story, Fink is also praised for his strong live performances on e.g. Lowlands, Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop. New music is on the way and we are very happy to welcome him in Doornroosje.
