Englishman Fin Greenall started his career as a dance producer. One day, he decided that it was time to make music of his own and that quickly led to success. Since then, the Brit managed to conquer the world as a musician and singer.
Before he started winning over the world as a singer-songwriter, Fink made trip-hop and techno under a number of aliases for the renowned label Ninja Tune. He also produced for the still-unknown Amy Winehouse. In the first decade of this century, he completely reinvented himself and started a band with Tim Thornton (drums) and Guy Whittaker (bass). The album “Biscuits for Breakfast” was the result of that collaboration, closely followed by his break-through album “Perfect Darkness”. This was a logical progression, as Fink doesn’t just have a mesmerizing, deep voice and guitar skills, he is also quite capable of writing remarkable songs. His latest album “IIUII” is a carefully composed record with a large dose of nostalgia and an unprecedented eye for detail. In 2024, he released his eighth studio album called “Beauty in Your Wake”.
Next to writing songs with an actual story, Funk is often praised for his strong live performances as well. In 2024, he played an impressive show in Doornroosje that was sold out in no-time. Now, Fink will come to the gorgeous setting of OLT De Goffert for an extra show in Nijmegen.
