Hailing from Osaka, Japan, GOAT challenges the standard rock band with their unique, complicated approach to minimalism, in which pure percussive sound is prioritized over melodies.
They build compositions that explore rhythms and mesmerize their audience. By using harmonies outside of standard tonality, along with smart use of mute effects, GOAT creates complex, driven, powerful compositions that are both urban and tribal. Just take their percussion for example, which consists of a bass drum, snare and a hi-hat with a muted bass so every string can be hit with a bang.
