GOODWIN
GOODWIN is the new project of the front man and baritone singer of Manchester’s cinematic indie pop band The Slow Show. Rob Goodwin enters the stage on his own and offers intimate stories about love loss and finding courage.
Born in the tranquillity of his German home and formed in the creative buzz of Berlin, GOODWIN’s music is a tender exploration of fragility and connection.
At the end of 2023, GOODWIN started his solo project during a break in his main band’s heavy touring schedule. He offers a collection of intimate recordings with stories that seem to be more fit for a quiet, unpolished room. Romantic, dreamlike narrations that offer a safe haven and escape for their listeners. These deeply personal songs put fragility front and centre, inspired by the atmosphere set by for example Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake.
