For over twenty years they have been hacking their way through festivals and venues: the legendary Hackensaw Boys! Born in Virginia on the outer edges of America, this quality roots collective is more of a movement nowadays than a band.
Sometimes there are ten musicians on stage at the same time, playing a fresh load of country-blues, bluegrass and old-timers, played with the passion and dedication of a punk band. It makes sense for Hackensaw Boys to have become a band that spans multiple genres: front man David Sickman is, after Ferd Moyse left, the final founding member still left in the band. He and his band mates will turn Doornroosje upside down with their music.
