
Janne Schra is a multidisciplinary artist from Amsterdam, known for her work as singer, songwriter and painter. Schra won the Edison Jazz Award in 2023 with her band DeVogels. Her work is characterized by a wide array of collaborations, including with artists like M. Ward and Benny Sings, as well as with orchestras like the Metropole Orkest. She first found fame as front woman of Room Eleven, with which she received multiple golden and platinum records and performed at big festivals, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, and in cities like Johannesburg and Tokyo.
Since she kicked off her solo career in 2010, Schra released multiple high-praised albums. She also recorded in some of the most legendary studios in the world, including Konk Studios in London, Capitol Studios in Los Angeles and studios in New York. Her upcoming album, set to come out 13 March 2026, was co-written with guitarist Laurens Radstake and recorded with producer Albin de la Simone and drummer Raphaël Chassin.
