London-born Jonathan Jeremiah combines gritty, acoustic R&B with folky soul, inspired by the classic song-writing of John Martyn, Scott Walker and Serge Gainsbourg. His most recent album “Good Day” is an engaging and authentic soul record, partly thanks to Jeremiah’s warm voice that evokes memories of Summer.
In 2011 Jonathan released his debut album “A Solitary Man”, an album that was hailed universally. A large part of it was written by him during his early twenties when he travelled the United States. Once back in London Jonathan got a job as a security officer at Wembley Arena and spent every cent he could on his meticulous, self-produced recordings. He also hired Jules Buckley, founder of the Heritage Orchestra, to arrange his songs. Two more albums followed: “Gold Dust” (2012) and “Oh Desire” (2015).
