Seven-piece collective KEG from Brighton, UK has a love for complex, hectic and sweaty rhythms coupled with cheeky humour.
All band members have a different background in music and have their own preferences. The result is an example of organized chaos: a musical experiment that mixes all kinds of different genres into a new, unique sound. KEG has the ability to turn their “wall of sound” into songs as well. Front man and singer Albert Haddenham adds his own personal, deep lyrics to the mix as well. The band finds inspiration in the work of DEVO and Talking Heads. Highly recommended to fans of bands like Squid, Sports Team, Battles, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
Support tonight comes from Amsterdam band Marathon. Marathon’s explosive mix of shoegaze and post-punk already brought them many good things in a short while, including shows at Welcome to the Village, Grauzone and a 3VOOR12 live session. A debut EP came out earlier this year through V2 Records.
