King Hannah makes tasteful indie rock with dark undertones. The Liverpool duo managed to impress with debut album “I’m Not Sorry, I Was Just Being Me”, an album full of mesmerizing songs that were inspired by the early works of PJ Harvey and Portishead.
Their first tour brought them all over Europe and the United States. Their latest album, “Big Swimmer”, was created during that tour and thematically deals with their travels. The new album has honest songs with bare-bone instrumentation and warm, fragile vocals that have a familiarity to them.
The album – which also features Sharon Van Etten as a guest – came out at the end of May. After a packed Merleyn show, they now return to Nijmegen for a performance in Doornroosje.
