The iconic Italian alternative symphonic metal band have been a force of nature for years with their powerful mix of heavy, melodious guitars, atmospheric synths and the unique shared vocals of front woman Cristina Scabbia and singer Andrea Ferro.
With their dark, emotional lyrics and dynamic live shows, Lacuna Coil has managed to create a large fanbase worldwide. Albums like “Comalies”, “Karmacode” and “Black Anima” show a clear evolution, which has the band combine elements from alternative metal and symphonic metal in a seemingly effortless way. The albums are blueprints for the genre. They recently released new singles ‘Gravity’ and ‘Oxygen’. Both are taken from the forthcoming record “Sleepless Empire”, set for a release in February through Century Media Records. It’s an excellent excuse for Lacuna Coil to visit Nijmegen for the very first time (!) for a performance.
