Texan singer-songwriter Lera Lynn – nowadays operating from Nashville – has roots in country, but evolved her sound to a dark and engaging sound. She wrote music with and for T-Bone Burnett and Rosanne Cash.
The perfect setting for her music is to be found in the HBO hit series True Detective, for which she wrote a large part of the soundtrack. Lera Lynn is in the show as well as a singer in a dark night club. It gave her career a massive boost in her home country. The harrowing “The Only Thing Worth Fighting For” has almost twelve million streams for example.
On her latest album “Something More Than Love” (2022), Lera Lynn is once again seducing us with her sultry voice. Her sixth (self-released) album was recorded with her partner and has a remarkable mix of americana roots, pop, rock, singer-songwriter and ragged folk.
