The four members of LIFE, a band from the English town of Hull, offer an heavy and fast-paced mix of punk, garage rock and post-punk. Their 2017 debut album has the cynical title of “Popular Music” and gained traction with both press and fans, partly because of the vitriolic vocals of Mez Green.
After touring heavily with bands like Slaves and IDLES they released their second album “A Picture of Good Health” in 2019. The title is yet another ironic reflection on the music industry and the album is packed with socially engaged lyrics and pent-up energy. The album was produced by Luke Smith (Foals). LIFE is recommended to fans of bands like SHAME, Fontaines D.C., Slaves and IDLES.
