Irish singer-songwriter doesn’t really need an introduction. He has been part of the soundtrack of the lower countries for more than 35 years. This fall, he will return to Nijmegen for an intimate show in the Stevenskerk.
Armed with his acoustic guitar and a phenomenal voice, Luka Bloom is capable of winning over any audience. His life and work are characterized by words, carried by the melodies straight from the heart. His power and charm are still in the way he makes a connection between his audience and all the emotions laid bare in his music. Luka Bloom: “For 35 years, coming to the Lowlands to sing my songs, has always been very special. And this November it will be even more so. On May 23rd I will turn 70 years of age. I will celebrate this birthday by releasing a new Record called BELOVED. Songs and 2 instrumental pieces I wrote last Autumn, just before I went into hospital in Dublin for open heart surgery. The record is dedicated to the surgeon, doctors and nurses, family and friends who saved my life in 2024. And next November I will come to the Lowlands again, to sing my songs.
