Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift to turn retro R&B, rock and soul into something new and fresh and to mesmerize his audience with his deeply touching voice. He has been active in the local music scene of his birth place Lafayette, Louisiana since he was young. His songs have a swampy edge to them as well, partly due to influences from his father Ted Broussard, guitarist of The Boogie Kings. There’s a reason Marc Broussard’s music is best described as ‘bayou soul’.
After releasing a successful self-released EP at the age of 20, Marc signed a contract with Island Records. He made his major label debut with “Carenco”, of which the single ‘Home’ immediately helped him break through to a wider audience. His typical sound also resulted in tons of booking on Blues, Soul and Jazz festivals. His latest single ‘Fire’ is a teaser for the upcoming EP; it’s also a tribute to Al Green. The song bursts with soulful energy. Expect a live show with Broussard blowing you away with his terrific combination of vintage styles!
