Michael Prins

Michael Prins (born in 1985) is a Dutch musician, currently living in Rotterdam. In 2013, he was successful with his debut album and hit single ‘Close to You’, which was followed by two more successful albums. He started at a young age on a journey focused on his passion for music, a path he is still following.

The freedom in his life forces him to make art. To keep this art, he forces himself to freedom: a duality of struggle, honesty and purity. With his fourth album, he reached a milestone. This path of experience led him to a perspective of meaning, a fearless and honest collection of songs that contain his best work to date.

This is one of those rare cases in which the perseverance of the artist results in songs that, once released, don’t belong to him anymore, but to the listener.
