Ndlovu Youth Choir
Ndlovu Youth Choir started off as an after-school program in 2009, but became a worldwide sensation after participating in America’s Got Talent in 2019.
They lost in the finals – only barely – but it gave their career a massive boost. With their beautiful harmonies and creative renditions of popular songs, Ndlovu Youth Choir is easy to like. The South-Africans effortlessly combine traditional South-African genres with styles like pop, rock, jazz and EDM, leading to extremely catchy covers. Songs like Kygo’s ‘Higher Love’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, Whitney Houston’s ‘Higher Love’ and Toto’s ‘Africa’ all got a high quality make-over. They have received three albums so far, so all the more reason to invite them over for a performance in the Stevenskerk.
