American rapper Obie Trice first found fame as Eminem’s protege. He signed at Eminem’s label Shady Records in 2000 and broke through with his debut album “Cheers” in 2003, and album that featured the hit single ‘Got Some Teeth’.
Trice is known for his raw style, witty lyrics and his capacity to weave very personal things into his music. His second album, “Second Round’s on Me” (2006), followed after a shooting incident that he barely survived. In 2008, he left Shady Records and founded his own label, Black Market Entertainment.
