The Southern Californian rock scene has been brimming over with talent for decades. It is a tight, vibrant cultural scene that consists of people who love to skate, surf and make music. Psychedelic rock is part of their DNA, and Sacri Monti is no exception to that.
From the get-go, you are bombarded with instrumental violence in the form of screeching guitar parts, explosive rhythms and distorted synths, followed by pleasant vocals. This five-piece band take a lot of their cues from sixties acts, including Jimi Hendrix and Blue Cheer. The compositions are vibrant of full of energy. With their psychedelic jams and heavy rock attitude, we are in for a spectacular live show, something they have demonstrated at Sonic Whip in 2022 as well. They even released an actual live album of that particular show! The band doesn’t play that often in the Netherlands, so take your chance!
