Selah Sue and The Gallands
Driven by the magnetic voice of Selah Sue, this project is the result of an organic collaboration between the Belgian icon and father/son duo of Stéphane and Elvin Galland. Originally envisioned as the brainchild of the Gallands – a mix of organic grooves, contemporary jazz and innovative production – the project was brought to another level when Selah Sue turned their instrumental compositions into powerful songs. This is where soulful intensity and vibrant live energy come together.
Both on stage and in the studio, the trio find a rare equilibrium: the skills of Stéphane (Aka Moo, Ibrahim Maalouf), the gusto and young energy of Elvin (Damso, Helena, Manu Katché), and the unmistakable voice of presence of Selah Sue. Together, they create a boundary-pushing sound that connects generations and music languages.
Their debut concert at Jazz Middelheim showed real chemistry. An album is on the way. An extensive tour is planned from March till September 2026, which will feature a tight rhythm section that consists of Louise van den Heuvel (bass), Stéphane Galland (drums), and Elvin Galland (keys), as well as the vocal chops of Sanne Putseys (Selah Sue) and her remarkable back-up vocalists Stephanie Rugurika and Judith Okon.
