Zeitgeist revisited - Sextile
The underground scene of Los Angeles has been enriched in a pleasant and musical manner by Sextile since 2015. The band creates a boundary-crossing sound that channels the energy of seventies punk with post-punk, synth-wave and other elements from the eighties and nineties.
Sextile was founded by front man Brady Keen and drummer Melissa Scaduto. Despite a turbulent history with a changing roster of band members, as well as the tragic loss of guitarist Eddie Wuebben in 2019, they released the album “Push” in 2023 that was very well received. Sextile offers raw music with lo-fi vocals that are perfect for fans of bands like Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Lebanon Hanover, Soviet Soviet and Gold Class. Their first Dutch show was at Zeitgeist in Doornroosje in 2023. Now they are back for a headlining show in Merleyn.
