German producer and musician Shantel is the pioneer and driving force of the Balkan beat hype that arose during the noughties and is still going strong up to this day. Along with his backing band, he is going to throw a party in Doornroosje.
With his mega hit ‘Disko Partizani’ of the album of the same name, Shantel brought Balkan beats to the mainstream. The mix of frantic polkas, traditional Slavic music, Yiddish klezmer, Ottoman Čoček and a helping of electronical influences, he manages to turn any crowd into a dance fever pit. Along with his exciting band Bucovina Club Soundsystem, we expect this to happen again tonight as well.
