The eclectic sound of Show Me The Body from New York is deeply rooted in hip hop, punk, noise, and hardcore. The loud, intense songs are full of energy. Live shows are a real happening.
Their debut “Body War” from 2016 may have been quite nihilistic, successor “Dog Whistle” shows a much wider range. The deliberately chosen raw lo-fi sound of the American trio is too violent to be considered punk, too twisted and eccentric to be a hardcore band. Show Me The Body has created a niche for themselves within the underground punk scene of New York by replacing the lead guitar role with a banjo. A remarkable combination. Their shows are a real experience and just as exciting as their albums.
Show Me The Body is highly recommended to fans of Death Grips, Ho99o9, Code Orange, At The Drive-in and Fugazi.
