Through their funky grooves, the Germans of Slope manage to reinvigorate the cross-over hardcore and skate punk sound of the early nineties. The songs are dynamic, funky and extremely catchy. Expect tons of rave-ups and heavy breakdowns.
The debut album “Street Heart” from 2021 is best described as Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Brains and Beastie having a meeting with Turnstile and Snapcase to decide on a sound. And that’s a compliment, to be clear! While they wear their influences on their sleeves, the result is still very refreshing, cool and original. The delivery is passionate and energetic. This is hardcore and skate punk of the highest order and it is extremely suited for mosh pits! Just listen to gems like ‘I’m Fine’ and ‘Trainsurfing’. The band is currently working on the successor to “Street Heart”. We can hardly wait, as the first single ‘Freak Dreams’ is another hit!
