Sylvie Kreusch
Antwerp musician Sylvie Kreusch is known for her direct and expressive lyrics, as well as for her eccentric mixture of experimental pop and folk. Using her own name, she grew into one of the most impressive artists in Europe.
She had her breakthrough with the album “Montbray” in which Kreusch managed to translate heartbreak into a musical, auto-biographical thriller. Kreusch sets herself apart through her unique mix of styles and influences. Her music has a clear connection to her own visual art, which has been making waves in the international film and fashion world. She has written music for fashion brand Prada.
This year, a new record will come out. The songs ‘Cosmic Trip’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’ are the first teasers, both showing the impressive evolution that her music continues to undergo, with an extra layer of enchantment and a sense of adventure. She took inspiration from a collection of old comic books that she found in her grandmother’s attic, leading to colourful and fantasy-rich stories that act as a break from reality.
