The indestructible rockers of The Afghan Whigs with front man Greg Dulli are synonymous with a tasty, dark and sultry mix of rock, soul and rhythm & blues. Live on the stage the band from Cincinnati is an absolute force to be reckoned with. Expect a combination of classics from their back catalogue, new songs and a few covers from the rich history of soul and pop.
Led by Dulli, The Afghan Whigs were founded in 1986, making 9 albums since then. After a eleven year hiatus the band returned in 2012 and they have released two more studio albums through Sub Pop. On their most recent albums “Do the Beast” and “In Spades” the quality of the song-writing is still very strong, approaching the level of that on their classic album “Gentlemen”. In 2022 the band released a new single, ‘I’ll Make You See God’.
Greg Dulli has been very active with other projects as well over the years. He made solo albums, founded The Twilight Singers, and worked with his friend Mark Lanegan under the name The Gutter Twins.
