The Notwist
Not that many bands are still as relevant after thirty years as The Notwist are. The band manages to reinvent itself each time, looking for new genres to add to their adventurous sound. At the core, it is indie rock with side-steps to electronic music, but they also bring in influences from jazz, post-rock, electro and hip hop.
Led by brothers Markus and Micha Acher, the band released the album “Vertigo Days” in 2021, that came really close to recapturing the magic of breakthrough album “Neon Golden” (2002).
In the spring of 2026, their new album “News From Planet Zombie” came out. The album is full of melancholy riches, positivity and sharp songwriting. According to The Notwist, the album reflects a chaotic world, only it responds to it warmly and forgiving to give space to creativity and spiritual power.
